About Creative Yoga

In our Creative Yoga Classes, my Teaching approach is rooted in sensitivity and awareness, respecting where you are in the present moment. Here, yoga is not a challenge but a gentle exploration, free from pressure and competition, making it accessible to all ages and fitness levels. Experience a practice that flows with you, nurtures your well-being, and aligns you with your natural state of fluidity and openness.  The practice will encourage a deep connection to nature and yourself which is vital in the present times we are living in so you feel grounded, calm and clear.

Weekly Classes

Tuesday evening online via zoom at 6.30 pm

Thursday morning at 10.00 at West Bridgford Methodist Church, Nottingham.

Friday morning online via zoom at 10.00 am

 

What happens in a Typical Class?

Most classes have a subject or theme which will encourage your yoga practice to evolve.

The classes are designed to support you in your everyday life as well as on the mat and will also create more freedom in your body.

You will be given variations on postures so you can work at your own level.

At the beginning of the class, I talk about this theme and how to apply it during and after the class. You will go into a short meditation or exploration to ground you and to get comfortable in your body.

Then you will be guided into postures, movement and openings that are designed to allow your body to release and relax. You only move within your own boundaries so it’s perfectly safe.

We also work with posture, and I encourage you to allow a lift, expansiveness and openness in yourself.

As well as Yoga Asanas, there are also Taoist practices based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qi Gong.

Breathwork is an important part of Creative Yoga. You will be encouraged to find the natural rhythm and flow of your breath as well as various other Pranayama practices.

At the end of the class there is always a relaxation experience.

My intention is that by the end of every single class you will feel you’ve benefited in some way

What can I expect in an online class?

The Online Classes are exactly the same as the Classes held at a venue apart from the fact that they are held in the comfort of your own home.

When you sign up to a class, you will receive a link via Zoom to join.

You just need to set up your space in advance and have a blanket, pillow and any yoga props for your comfort to hand.

Personal 1-2-1 Yoga appointments

I teach personal 1-2-1 sessions either online or from my home studio. These appointments are ideal for you if you wish to:

  • Develop confidence in your yoga practice
  • Work on a specific health issue
  • Deepen your experience and knowledge of yoga
  • Have the class tailor made to your specific needs

Pricing

Monthly Online Subscription:  £35 (get access to Tues and Fri classes + recordings + one 15 min breathwork or meditation download per month + free workbook ‘Aligning with the Seasons to nurture your Health and Vitality)

Online Classes: £10 each or book a block of six for £50

Venue held Classes: £10 each or book a block of six for £55

Personal 1-2-1 Yoga Teaching £50 per hour either online or face to face.
